Bare Minerals Makeup Review

Bare Minerals Makeup by Bare Escentuals is my favorite line of cosmetics. Bare Minerals Makeup solves a lot of the skin and makeup problems that I have faced, including blemishes and oily skin. Bare Minerals uses all-natural, healthy compounds in their makeup, and it is actually good for my skin! Whether you are looking for a flawless finish, a natural look, great coverage, or a dramatic evening look, you can achieve them all with Bare Minerals. Bare Minerals uses only the finest ingredients in their products, so you can be sure that you aren't putting anything on your skin that will harm you.

Bare Minerals has several different types of foundation and concealer to meet your every need. The matte finish products give great coverage, great oil absorption, and great UV protection. It goes on soft and smooth and stays put throughout the day. The original foundation provides a soft-focus finish look, making your skin look velvety and smooth. The makeup feels so light once it's on that you forget it's there! I have used both of these products and love them both! I use the matte foundation in the summer and the original foundation in the winter. Along with the foundations, a wonderful product is the Warmth. This completely customizable product will add a bit of color and shimmer to your face. The last product in the foundation regimen is the Mineral Veil. This wonderful product sets the makeup and provides a barrier that will keep the makeup from coming off or from smudging. You can buy all of these products together in the Getting Started Kit, complete with the luxurious makeup brushes.

Bare Minerals eye shadows are a wonderful way to brighten your eyes and change up your look. They are wonderful to mix and match and come in a variety of colors and finishes. You can create a matte natural eye or a glimmer glam eye with a few strokes of a brush. These shadows can also be turned into dry or wet liner by adding a bit of water.

Not only does Bare Minerals have great makeup, but they also provide wonderful skin care products, such as anti-aging products, oil absorbing products, cleansers, and moisturizers. One of the most popular skin care products is called Prime Time. This compound makes your skin irresistibly silky and provides a smooth base for the makeup, allowing it to set and stay much longer than it would without Prime Time.

Many women find that the prices of the Bare Minerals line are more than what they regularly pay for makeup, but the system is quite affordable when you realize that these products last much longer than the average tube of makeup. One tub of foundation typically lasts about 3-5 months, depending on how much is used each day.

There are three main competitors in the mineral makeup market.  They are Bare Minerals, Sheer Cover, and Everyday Minerals.  Apparently, Everyday Minerals is the cheapest, but many like Bare Minerals much better.

Bare Minerals by Bare Escentuals is a wonderful product line for any woman of any age. It can be mixed and matched to suit your every need, and it can now be found in many stores across the country.

This is the best make up I have ever used, hands down. It is light and stays on all day. It gives my face a healthy glow. I get numerous comments that I look much younger than my actual age and I am fifty eight.

LOVE IT!

This really is amazing makeup. After I started wearing it, I got all kinds of comments from people who see me all the time. And the cost for me is actually cheaper than my old crappy faves, Covergirl, Mabeline, ect...I have had all of it for well over a year and only had to replace foundation, mineral veil and two brushes. So soft and so easy to apply.

My experience with Bare Minerals Makeup

I used Bare Minerals makeup for a year or two, and this is what I found:
It doesn't cover as well as the infomercials would lead you to believe. If you have decent skin, it is beautiful on, but if you expect it to cover blimishes and spots so that you can't see them at all, you will be disappointed. I'm not sure if it was the brush or the foundation itself, but one of the two made my face itch. Not terribly, but enough to be a little uncomfortable. The eye shadows are very sheer (you can't really see them unless you put many layers on). I was told by a sales consultant to purchase another product that helped with that problem. I was also told to buy an additional product to keep their gloss and lipsticks on. I feel like the product should work on its own without having to buy extra products. So I was disappointed with that. Like I said, I used it for a year, but eventually went back to my old makeup (Clinique). It is okay, but doesn't do everything it says.

just get the foundation, blush!

This foundation os awesome. I skip the mineral veil, but I have kinda red uneven skin and this foundation absolutely evens it out. They have starter kits at sephora that just come with foundation, mineral veil, and blush. This is perfect! The eye shadows are very very sheer and don't seem to stick. They are also very messy. I'd rather stick to my walmart loreal brand for lips and eyes but if you are wanting to even out your skin, the foundation part is really good, granted it's not a miracle worker, it is just make up. As for claims that it is actually improving my skin...well I have seen no evidence of that. Still, I do love their foundation.
