Sheer Cover Makeup

The Sheer Cover Mineral makeup claims to hide nearly all blemishes, including scars. Does it work?

The Sheer Cover Mineral makeup reflects light away from blemishes and wrinkles giving your skin and even natural look with a glow. It is supposed to work better than traditional liquid foundation at sticking and staying even even while exercising. The infomercial uses a number of celebrities to tell you how well it works, but does it really? The pitch says that the mica minerals reflect light away from lines, giving the skin a luminance.

Originally developed as a corrective cosmetic product, Sheer Cover Makeup has a natural SPF of 15, soothing botanicals to sooth redness, and antioxidants to fight the negative effects of aging on your skin.

Specifically, the infomercial claims to hide: blemishes flaws redness freckles sots under eye dark circles acne rosacea leg veins, birthmarks, and scars.

Skin tones?  There are 4 shades of blendable skin tones to choose from- light, medium, tan, and dark.  Most people need medium they say.

What you get:
A natural bristle application brush.  Of course this product is a lot more expensive but if you act within 15 minutes or become a club member, or be the first 500 callers, you get more stuff for less money including a dou tone concealer, mineral mascara, condition cleanser and moisturizer, along with makeup cases, and a bunch of other stuff.  Yes I did say MORE money because you don't just order a months supply to get all this stuff, you must accept a automatic "subscription" to the makeup and agree to be billed automatically in one month for about $90.

Bottom line:  If it works well and you are OK with the $30 per month price then you may find it a good value, but you know how those automatic "club" things tend to go- you end up spending more than you wanted to.  Also have a look at Bare Minerals makeup.

I bought this stuff about 3 years ago after watching an infomercial and I hated it. After I put it on it came off everytime I touched my face. And it wasn't a small amount either. Also I'm a black woman and I'm not even all that dark and the darkest tint they had was too light for me. I recommend Bare minerals and they have an actual store where you can test it out. They'll also physically apply it to you so you can know the correct method, hope this helps.
