The Walk Fit Platinum orthotic inserts are an upgrade to the original pain relief shoe insert.

The Walk Fit shoe inserts promise to relieve your body pain by starting at your feet.

Walk Fit's major claim is that by balancing your feet, you align you legs, hips, and back.

The infomercial features a podiatric surgeon to explain how these inserts work. The doctor explains that you will reduce leg cramps, as well as leg, knee, many types of foot and toe, and low back pain.

Many people complain that the inserts cause foot pain.  Apparently, the company (Phase 4) says you need to get used to them by wearing them for shorter intervals at first.  The guy demonstrates how he removed his discomfort by modifying them.

The Platinum upgrade to these orthotic shoe inserts offers

  • A new heel cushion to absorb sock
  • Embedded nono-silver to fight odor and bacteria.
  • New color (because of silver)

The quick test

They shot Platinum infomercial in the Mall of America.  The Walk Fit host had people stand while he pushed down on their hands to demonstrate their ability to maintain their balance without the inserts.

They then stepped into the shoe inserts and the host pushed down on their hands again to prove that their balance had improved by standing in the Walk Fit orthotics.

While standing in the inserts, they appeared to be more stable and more able to resist the pushing down on their hands.

They have sold over 5 million of the original Walk Fit orthotic inserts which they use as testimonial to the effectiveness of the insert.

Have you purchased the Walk Fit orthotic shoe inserts to relieve your pain.  Did they work?  Please add your Walk Fit review.

I never bought anything from an infomercial....until my feet had been hurting so much that I could hardly walk in the mornings, even after long foot massages from my husband who was getting tired of the routine. I would have tried almost anything that promised to fix my feet at that point. So...in a moment of weakness, I called when I saw the commercial. Being skeptical of TV scams, I was put off by the excessive shipping and handling (10 for a 20 purchase) and did not go through with the purchase. I got a call back a while later, and the man offered to reduce the S/H to something more reasonable, so I bought it. I've been grateful for that call ever since! I realized that my feet were so messed up from wearing shoes with no arch supports every day for about a year. They had one inch heels and I had worn nothing but flats for years before that. So...it took me about 3 months to be able to wear the walk fits. I almost gave up -- I had to start without any of the inserts in and work my way up to adding the lowest one. Now I have worn them almost every day since for over 5 years ago. I only buy shoes that they will fit in and I occasionaly wear a pair of shoes without them for one day at a time -- and then I'm sure to wear something with them the next day. I do not buy a pair of shoes now unless I can wear the inserts with them. My feet have felt great for years now and I've told many people about them - just as the man said I would when he called back to have me place my order. They were just starting out then, I believe, and with over 5 million sold, others have found the same relief -- and value - as I have. About a year after my purchase, I had also found them at stores in the "as seen on TV" sections and bought a second pair. That pair is still almost new and having 2 pair is a lot easier than switching between work and casual shoes every day.

As for the lifetime warranty, my original pair which was the old style (with the blue insert) finally cracked at the heal after 5 years, so I called. Wasn't sure what might happen, but I was very pleasantly surprised when they retrieved my order information, confirmed I was still the same size, and sent me a replacement pair for just the (reduced) shipping and handling of about $6. To my delight, they even sent me the new "platinum" style. I was impressed -- if they keep that up, they're definitely a keeper in my book.

One more thing....the value is remarkable. I checked with a chain (Good Feet?) when I was on a business trip and a comparable value with lifetime warranty would have been 360! They had a less costly option for around 80 that they admitted that the quality of materials would only last a few years. I felt very good about my 20 investment after checking them out. Just today, I stopped at WalMart's Dr Scholl's foot station that measures your foot and weight distribution - it recommended their insert -- and it was $50. The new style has the "gell" type insert in the heel, so I don't see any reason for anyone to pay more than the 20 for walkfits. If you feel any foot strain at all, try these first. I think their new commercial is a bit overdone, but I highly recommend them and I have not seen anything even come close to beating them for either the quality or value!
