But Wait... There's More! Maybe its extra shipping, recurring billing charges, or club fees.  Save money by researching alternative places to buy your infomercial product.

The as seen on TV pitches are compelling. After a few minutes watching the tube, you really want to buy the infomercial product they are pitching because you need it.

It really makes sense that these TV products have a realistic place in our lives.  After all, we all have dirty floors and need to vacuum & steam mop them.  We all want to eat delicious and healthy food that is quick and easy to make right?  After eating all that good food, we get a little fat and need to either hide the fat, or loose the extra weight with the latest as seen on TV exercise machine. Of course, we spend a lot of money on all these infomercial items and then need to get rich quick to pay for it.   Luckily, there are products on TV every day that solve all of these problems.

Does the product work?

This is usually the first question people ask themselves, after "How much does it cost?"

Do a little homework to help find out if the product will work as advertised.  Read some product reviews from people who actually have purchased the product.

How much does the product on TV actually cost?

As Seen On TV ScamsWhen you are satisfied that the product will work like you want, take a few more minutes to research the places to buy it.

Many people don't complain about the actual product, but rather the company selling the product.  Products complaints often circulate around outrageous shipping and handling charges and billing hassles

Keep in mind that some of these infomercial product companies don't just sell a product, they sell accessories such as attachments or parts for a vacuum or recipe books for a cooker.  Some it seems, also sell shipping and handling.

Money back guarantees are great buy not often what they appear.  If the cost of shipping and handling is nearly (or more) than the cost of the product, then you will get your "purchase" money back, but are still on the hook for shipping & handling- both directions.  It may cost more to return the product than just toss it.

Where To Buy

Often, there are a few places to buy the reviewed product.  You can order it from the infomercial directly.  You might also be able to buy it online from many vendors like Amazon, eBay sellers (used sometimes), and other online stores.  If the product is older, you can pick it up a a regular retail store like Walmart or Target.

By buying the product from a source you trust, you have less chance of being disappointed with your purchase because you are not sorting out billing issues down the road, or lamenting the fact that you paid too much when you see it cheaper somewhere else.  A legitimate company that sells more than one product cannot afford to play games with hidden charges for very long.
