Warning About Big Boss Grill

Posted by Heather at Oct 19, 2009 04:56 PM
DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT ORDER THIS GRILL!!!!!!! I have been waiting on mine for over a month and still nothing.

*After I placed the order I received an e-mail saying it had been shipped with a tracking number. When I went online to track it with UPS it said shipping information (only)had been received. No package had been provided to UPS. Only information had been.

*I called the company and after a fair amount of grief they said they would send me ANOTHER one.

*I just called back today, a full month after I ordered it and they said the replacement still hasn't been shipped. When I started pressing the very obnoxious customer service representative about the issues he started blaming UPS!!!! He said it was their fault because they couldn't pick it up due to wild fires!!!!!! Are you kidding me??????

*Here is my favorite part. I told them to cancel my order and refund my credit card and he said he couldn't refund it until 14 days after shipping!!!!!!!

This is a huge scam and please warn everyone in anyway you can about this company!

Warning About Big Boss Grill

WISH I HAD READ THIS BEFORE I ORDERED. I have been charged $48 and haven't received it yet. Also they called me at 9 P.M. on Sunday night and wanted me to get all these other coupons, etc. for $1 and if I didn't cancel I would be billed $24.95/month. Told them I didn't want the other things. The second guy that was confirming the first guy was talking so fast I couldn't understand him. I hesitate to call back. I'm going to try to return it unopened and see what happens. Any other suggestions???? Thanks!!

I too have been waiting for delivery of my grill. they billed me quickly but still UPS says "billing information recieved" i have called the number on the website and was told i have to wait until 14 business days from the date it was shipped*, by that i mean UPS received the billing information. Now that i have read reviews of this on other sites i am thinking of just canceling the whole thing.

A Sad Big Boss Grill Story...

Posted by Tracy K. at Jan 16, 2010 11:28 AM
I was watching the infomercial early one morning as Vicki Lawrence demonstrated cooking on the Big Boss Grill. But even more alluring was the variety of removal, easy-clean plates. As quick as you can say Big Boss Grill, I was dialing the 1-800 number! My impossible-to-clean George Foreman grill would be shoved into the pantry when I received my much anticipated Big Boss Grill as a birthday gift. Fast forward to one month later and the Big Boss Grill is currently en route back to the manufacturers! First, Big Boss was lacking in a "grease drip" method that the Foreman grill possessed. Yet directions state to "lightly grease" the grill prior to cooking. During cooking, the grill collects grease and juices that have no escape. In turn, the collected moisture tends to leak into the internal mechanisms, causing the Grill to smoke, and eventually shut down or plain die! Living in an apartment, I feared the Big Boss would create pure pandemonium in my building had a fire broken out due to my insatiable desire to grill burgers without endlessly scraping the Foreman grill as punishment. So I sadly waved goodbye to the Big Boss Grill as the man in the UPS store disappeared into the back room with my damaged grill. However, the story does end happy. Much to my surprise, George Foreman now has a grill with removal plates AND the grease-drip function. My days are once again sunny and bright, filled with no-fuss indoor grilled burgers forever!

Love,Love, Love your story. I will not be buying this grill. I gave it a thought until I read the reviews. I have a George foreman grill that I purchased about 10 years ago and it suffices. I too may buy the new George Foreman with the interchangeable plates. Thanks to you and others I will not be buying the Big Boss Grill.

Big Boss Grill

We didn't even use it. I never paid so much for something so cheaply made. We sent it back but they wouldn't return the shipping and handling charges so we lost double on that because we had to pay to ship it back! It was thin and the teflon coating wouldn't have lasted very long at all. They shouldn't be allowed to sell stuff like that to consumers. I give it no stars.

BIG BOSS GRILL AND FREE GIFT

I received the three grills I ordered but no big boss food choppers as promised and I don't have a number to call them. Very disappointed.

Big Boss Grill so far so good

Posted by Kelley from Hawaii at Feb 03, 2010 10:44 AM
I only tried it once so far and had great results. After reading the other reviews, I'm kinda nervous but the shipping for my grill was prompt and received the mini chopper. We made the tuna melt and will try out the donuts tonight. So far I am happy with the cleaning and way this has been working. Aloha!

Big (bad) Boss Grill

Posted by Ila at Feb 13, 2010 07:18 PM
I received my "new toy" the end of January, 2010.
It worked amazing well the first five times I used it. I followed all the instructions to a tee. We were very impressed with it....until the sixth time I used it. It died. Now, I was not impressed with the $44.48 I had to pay the parcel person when the package arrived (not her fault) so I paid the COD charges and tried the appliance out. Upon discovering that it has a bad track record I tried to return it. Yeah, good luck with that. I have never had problems with "As Seen On TV" products before this. I will be reviewing any future purchases for sure. In the meantime I'll chalk this one up to the "live & learn" experience.

A piece of junk. No drip pan so grease runs over into heating coils. Everything sticks unless sprayed. Poorly made and way to small. Don't waste your money. Mines going to goodwill.

I cannot believe that such a great actress like Vicki Reynolds would have her name associated with such a terrible product. I could hardly wait for my grill to arrive but after only about three uses it stopped working. I decided to check the computer for reviews which I should have done before ordering. There were hundreds of reviews with the same problem I had. I didn't send it back yet as the shipping charges cost almost as much as the product. I guess that is how the company makes money because they are depending on people not sending back the grill. Hopefully Vicki you will not make anymore commercials for this product.

I haven't tried it yet, I tried to cancel the order with no avail. They didn't tell you what the shipping charges were until the order was placed. Couldn't contact anybody and there was no place to cancel the order. I had to pay over twenty dollars shipping charges and won't get that back even if I sent it back plus it will cost me to send it back. I received the order today and was disappointed on how shabby the cooking plates were, they don't look like they will hold up very well. I'm sorry I ordered it and probably be more sorry when I try to cook with it. Will keep you posted on the results.

HORRIBLE COMPANY - DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM

Posted by Angry in Canada at Mar 05, 2010 07:41 AM
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. I live in Canada and when I ordered the product I was told it was $22.90 to receive it to my door and that included all fees. However, when UPS brought the product they told me it was $45.11 for shipping. The product by the way costs $60. I refused delivery. Customer service reps with this company are dishonest, and misrepresent the product. I think the only money they are making is in the $22.90 because I don't know anyone who is happy with this product. The Better business bureau, is currently looking into my complaint. I urge you all who have had negative experiences with this company to follow up with the Better business bureau. The Parent company of the Big Boss Grill is Fosdick Corporation.

Product Bad No Matter Where You Buy It

Posted by Holly at Mar 07, 2010 07:56 PM
We bought the Big Boss Grill at a local store. We didn't have to deal with the company directly or worry about shipping charges. After reading all these reviews I'm very happy we didn't have to deal with all of that. The first time we used it though, we decided it was a piece of junk. The waffle plates stuck like glue with the batter (which didn't distribute evenly) even after we sprayed it, and one of the hinge pins fell out. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!
