Nuwave Oven Pro

The Nuwave Oven Pro infrared cooker apparently makes you healthier, saves money, saves time, and the infomercial even claims the oven is a green product. How do you rate it?

The Nuwave Oven uses infrared technology to BBQ, roast, grill, bake, broil, air fry, steam and dehydrate your meat. The idea is that you can save a lot of time by cooking frozen meats such as steaks, chicken, or fish in half the time of a conventional oven without thawing.

You do not need to use oils or fats with this oven.  The unhealthy fats from the cooking meat drip off making your meals healthier which the infomercial claims means you reduce your cholesterol and helps you loose weight.

The oven uses a patented triple cooking method: infrared, convection, and conduction to give the meat a crispy outside and a moist inside. The oven comes with recipes and a cooking guide along with accessories.

This new channel's TV review story gave the Nuwave oven a positive review.

The oven also is supposed to save a lot of money compared to a conventional oven when it comes to energy consumption, because there is no need to preheat the Nuwave.  They claims savings of nearly 300%!

The Nuwave compares to Thane's Flavorwave Oven Pro.

My husband and I bought the original nuwave over 3 years ago and we absolutely love it! It is true that you don't have to defrost your food before you cook it, although I recommend doing so if it is something like steak or chicken that you want to marinade. We use it at least once a week and we hardly ever use our fry daddy anymore. You put in your french fries or whatever and they really are crisp. I imagine that the new nuwave is just as good if not better. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. We even cook our Christmas ham in it and it always tastes perfect.
